The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law "On Ratification of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television"

The aim of the Convention, adopted on the 5^th of May 1989 in Strasbourg and signed by Ukraine on the 14^th of June 1996 is "assistance in transfrontier broadcasting and rebroadcast of television programs that correspond to the demands of people´s dignity respect and stick to the human rights in countries-members of Council of Europe; strengthening of the cultural heritage of Europe and development of audio and visual art".

The corresponding bill is registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (№0095)
